I guess they deteriorate?

Clean off the crank and sleeve with carb cleaner. Swipe some motoseal ground the crank and spin the bushing on. Install clutch....

That's what i've always done or yamabond.
Since the 371 day's
I never saw the oring
Until you guy's here talked about it
Never had any failures
