I bought it used, made one cut with a dull chain that was on it, and sat it on the shelf. It feels bulky compared to my huskys. But hey it's a saw! I'm gonna give it a shake down.
Iv used a mk1 ms 261 and found it a nice saw to use in its own right. Have a good and safe time ...wood in the store is a real comfort thing for me.

Here she is. Fueled, oiled, and a fresh edge. Ready to go!

I just got to the motel. 13 hours last night. Work again tonight.

Finished the new book Dagger 22. It's the follow up to Level Zero Heroes. Pretty good stuff.

Nice, I'll have to pick that book up. Is it about the same MARSOC unit and the same guys?

My buddy in Texas is getting married next week, I believe a few of the guys from Level Zero Heros will be there.

Yes. Same deployment just the rest of it. They probably will be.

If you guys are into reading Level Zero Heros is a good read. It's about a MARSOC unit that was operating on the base where my buddy served his final tour. They got into a lot of chit and lost a lot of good guys there.

Generation Kill is also a good read. That was 1st Recons first tour into Iraq. I've met a lot of guys from that book. Junior was in 1st Recon, his first tour was the second tour that 1st went over.
A lot of the guys from that book came into town for Juniors wedding and I threw the bachelor party at our place.
The stories that I heard from that first tour that were from the tour in Generation Kill were quite hilarious... Obviously not stuff that would have been kosher for the book

Ran the 261cm a couple tanks today. It seems rather anemic. Better torque than any stock 026/260 I've run but mostly meh. It felt heavy swinging it around. Smelled like it was running rather rich and used quite a bit more fuel than my 350.
But the wood was dirty and I had to keep sharpening... I've got to try it in some clean green wood with a sharp chain. But I think unless I port it, the husky gets the nod.
