Seemed prudent to me that besides a dial indicator on the shaft of the mandrel, that a once around by hand with the tool just touching would give a good second measure of being all squared up before the cut begins.
Maybe it's just redundant, the extra time spent if nothing else makes me feel better.

The whole measure twice and cut once theory? Tuffer putting it back on if you got it jacked up. Someone took one measurement for my game room window and by the skin of my teeth I got it in the opening today. I was sweating when i rechecked the brick opening
