Out of curiousity how long (time or man hours) does it take from start to on the truck for something like that?
Well this tree was an exception. It was sitting at the top edge of a hollow and the only option was to winch it over the opposite way of the lean so the log would land in a spot that it wouldn't grenade the whole shootin match. I had my cousin (our other cutter) climb it with his spikes and saddle and hang a bull rope in it up about 60 feet up and we tied the bull rope to a tear drop slider that was on the cable on the skidder. Drew it up tight cut it backed it up with wedges and winched it over. The whole job took about an hour. That's being said there is just to many variables to give you an hour about. If I had to take a shot in the dark and guess, if it wasn't in an ignorant spot like it was between cutting skidding and loading it would have taken about 10 -15 minutes. Bit it's a short skid here downhill..........etc. maybe I could post the video of it going over. Might give you perspective.

Damn...just had to re-shoe my MegaCab after work today with four new Toyo Open Country MT's...295/70R-17's. They sure don't give them SOB's away. But I gotta helluva deal on'em...same tire shop I've been dealing with for years. Even then, they ain't cheap. Coulda stepped up to 305's with a 2" front leveling kit, but this animal eats enough gas as is...no sense in adding fuel to the fire.

Could tell I was riding high centered on the tires when I drove off...live about 6-7 miles from the tire shop. When I got home I checked the pressure...little man in the back put 65lbs in each tire. I ain't hauling cattle nor no trailer with a backhoe on it. Damn!! Nonetheless got them down to around 50lbs each. You don't need 65lbs of pressure in no damn 295 series tire. Nonetheless, the owner who I personally called about needing new shoes said bring it by, get it done...he's been at a Ducks Unlimited Banquet for the last two days. Maybe when he gets back tomorrow, he'll teach the younger ones to go a little easy on the tire pressure. I reiterated the same to him in a conversation this evening after I got home, and had to let a little air outta my new balloons.
