I got a 61 top cover as well, definitely not a 266 style, but maybe I can use it on a firewood saw or something as the hole spacing is the same.

the air is rarely dry down here in the south during winter.
dry cold is different than a wet cold.

If it's freezing cold it aint wet no more. Hell I could go to the Army surplus store get a stack of wool blankets and then a bale of straw from the farm supply to weather that out. Spread out the straw on the ground and lay a blanket on it to keep the ground from soaking up your body heat cover up with the rest.
