In the past few years, I've had both of my sons, one year round and one in summer. They were getting really good at most things we do. They both decided to get big boy jobs this year though. The oldest got his first high school teaching job, and the youngest took a paid internship at a local plastic molding plant. Maybe I'll get one of them back for next summer.
Currently, I have a couple 18 and 20 year old noobs helping me out. They're getting better

It's tough to keep good help. I can understand your boys thought process though. It's good to have benefits and a retirement plan.
