The white vinegar did a great job.
I didn't dilute it.
I've got some more axe heads to clean up.
I just got a few axe heads this evening. One is a Vaughn 4 pound single bit, but it looks bent a little bit. The other two are no name, one single bit and one double bit. I will get some pics tomorrow.

My friend brought me a true temper red warrior he found it in a dirt road of all places.
It has been flattened a little don't know if a porta power will bring it back or not.

Porta power's are pretty strong it might do it. I think heat might be a bad idea, but would be the fastest way. I will mess with the Vaughn and see what happens.
