Birthday weekend for the kids this weekend. Our sons birthday is today and our daughters is tomorrow. After work today we are off to spend the weekend at some indoor water park.

I hope there is a bar in the park.... Not sure my sanity will last to long at a place with hundreds of kids running all around....

We've been to Great Wolf Lodge up in Traverse before, but this time we were not able to get the friends and family discount so we figured we'd try this place....



Huge mistake... The kids at least had fun, but we won't be going here again. There is a reason its priced at almost 1/4 the price as Great Wolf Lodge.

With Great Wolf Lodge, its priced to where the riff raff stay out. Not so with this place....... About 300 uncontrollable kids..... I heard words and phrases from little 8-10 year old kids that I have never heard in my whole life.

I know I won't be able to farm forever. I love my job and what I do. I have had offers that would be a substantial increase from what I'm doing, but I'd still be in the AG industry.

When the time does come, the thing I am going to miss the most is being able to take my kids with me and have them tag along.
My son loves working with me when he's not in school. It's going to really suck not having him with me.

As the kid that grew up 1 step behind my dad, either in the fab shop, chicken houses, or fields,

Keep it as long as you can.
