Or super glue
I've heard bathing in epsom salt helps too.
Never tried that so can't verify.

I did some study on chiggers a few years ago. Turns out that it's the bite that itches. They put a feeding tube of sorts thru the skin, and your body reacts to that causing the swelling and itching. The chigger itself can be washed off with soap and water. So......time is the only real cure.

I've tried everything.......nothing really works.

From a health site.....

"Chigger mites infest human skin via areas of contact with vegetation, such as pant cuffs or shirt sleeves and collars. They migrate on the skin in search of an optimal feeding area. A common myth about chiggers is that they burrow into and remain inside the skin. This is not true. Chiggers insert their feeding structures into the skin and inject enzymes that cause destruction of host tissue. Hardening of the surrounding skin results in the formation of a feeding tube called a stylostome. Chigger larvae then feed upon the destroyed tissue. If they are not disturbed (which is rarely the case because they cause substantial itching) they may feed through the stylostome for a few days."

Already back home from work, which is good as there is a big old popple laying across the drive which is also good as I get to play with my saws. Might as well cut the long stump down right away as well and get-r-done. There's like 3 or 4 tress that fell to the storm on the property. The best part is the 660 project saw is due today, and there's a circle drive so the FedEx dick's can still get in, even if the tree is still in the way. Will be nice to put hands on it to see if my idears will work or not. Trying to decide if I should wait to drag the driveway as more thunderstorms are coming tomorrow. Which leaves today in good shape weather wise. Power is back on, yeah! Filled up the fuel cans so there's some on hand and ready. But the all time best part about today is I'm having a fresh cup of coffee and a piece of apple pie from last night right now before i go out and hit 'er. Mmmm good... :)
