I gotta ask. Why don't you use prefab stress skin panels instead of the roof build up system?

Heat index of 104 here. We got off work a little early because of the heat. Forecast calls for 114 heat index tomorrow.

You guys play with giant fire trucks that pump thousands of gallons per minute. Why not make a big ass sprinkler to to run through?

Andy has a massive water storage tank underneath his work area. When he tests the trucks, he pumps and recirculates the water. On like today, that water becomes a huge heat sink. Along with running a truck at full load pumping water, it's pretty miserable in his shop on days like this. I've been taking a nap at lunch on a creeper under a truck.

I called the concrete company, I told them that when you are ready for the floor and it's 95* to go ahead and add 2% chloride:D
The company I used to get it from was adding filler and hardener or something to theirs. If you waited to powertrowel it until your feet didn't sink in an inch it was too dry and you'd have to dump 50 gallons of water on it to finish it.
One day about like today, I ordered 9 yds and told them to put 2% in it. It set up from the bottom up and water came right up to the top and finished out perfectly. I actually had more time to finish it. Go figure. Goes against everything I've learned about it.

I poured for 2 years, mostly commercial. When we had house jobs lined up we would schedule them all around the same time..

What we would always do in the summer to pound those stupid things out was to pour the footings in the evening. Then set walls around 5am. Usually we'd have a will call at 7 for mud. We would always get 2%..... After pouring we would head on over to the next site and set footings and usually have a will call for 11.
After lunch we'd to the other site and pull footings and strip the wall. Then go set wall at the next job.

One thing they loved was 2%........
