Thats Lame Iam lucky Iam right next to the local airport the Highway Patrol is stationed so we dont lose much unless chit has hit the fan.

We are right across the street from a natural gas compressor station, they are the last ones on the line.

Things need to be pretty bad before we loose power, and if we do Consumers tends to move pretty quick.

How come your generator is producing 220 volts and your appliances are 110 volt ,excuse my ignorance just asking because our power is 220/230 volts am I missing something here

One half of 220 bolts is 110 volts. Two legs of 110 volts each come in to the house.

That's fugging crazy alright we have 2 plugs for our 220/230 system one is 10 amp and the other is 15 amp

Picked up a Homelite conversation piece today. This type of generator powered Homelite's first chainsaw, the ECS, which was electric. 230 volt 180 cycle 3 phase. 11.5 cu. in. (188cc) two stroke. It also puts out 115V DC.

Nevermind i saw your answer i did see a brand new Milwaukee drill explode into flame's when a guy drilled into a 220v in wall and shorted it on a metal stud lol
He was ok lost a 200.00 drill though.
