Have any of you guys ran Forester chain in the past few months?

I normally order Carlton because it's only slightly more than Forester from my supplier. The sales rep I deal with asked if I've run their chain recently. He claimed they make it all in house with American steel....

He's sending me a loop to try out. In the past I never bothered. I assumed it would be typical chi-com cheesy steel.

This was a 24" from forestershop


20" loop bought same day. Looks weird, cuts fine

Never tried it how much for a 20 3/8 if you know i bought 6 off amazon 11.00 full chisel i will tell you if it's any good hasn't arrived yet upstart brand walt afleetcommand has used forester in some of his vids and didn't seem happy might ask him about it.

Not very good, was first video I ever did. I cut a notch in another log to hold my phone, guess I need some equipment.

Saw was not reaching full throttle, barely tuned and oiler is not oiling, going to need a do over, but Big Log is cut so...

I have run there older stuff before because it was cheap. Come late fall early winter when I knew everything would have mud and dirt on it.
The dealer here that I would get it from closed last year so I haven't gotten any in a long time.
I never thought it was that bad for the price.

I've had very good luck recently with chinese chain my buddy paid the shipping so mine will be 10.00 per three 20 inch loops good deal but i haven't tried upstart yet ill tell you if it's any good.
