Mark,
I'd still smear some sealant on the crank and inside of the bushing also. And then tighten up the clutch so it sets up in the right spot. These things like to leak there and a little insurance is a good thing

044 is the same way. Not sure which brain-dead saw manufacturer came up with that design first
Yeah I don't really understand the reasoning behind it either. It works just fine once you get it sealed up proper though.

I have one that races a little when it's cold. Still haven't figured that out.
