Quite honestly, we were screwed by our government over the last 6 months. We caught it but there's not a *frenching thing I can do about it and they don't care.

That stinks.

I know under the last president, for families with an income of say...50k/year, insurance would cost my niece and her husband about $1500/mo. They increased premiums so much, it made it unaffordable, pushing for them to receive free healthcare because they qualified. The government actually promoted the free healthcare.

*edit. I meant for the family. They have 3 kids, 4, 11, and 13

One way or another the IRS indicated to Medicaid program that our income changed, which it has not over the last 3 or more years. There was a letter mailed out stating his coverage would be terminated effective Oct 1. We never got it. When we inquired to get the statement which indicates insurance coverage for tax filing purposes last month, we were informed he had no coverage at the moment. They mailed the letter to the wrong address.
