Honest and for true, I may kid around from time to time, but never would lie about a thing like that. It's just a thin layer inside to protect it from today's fuels I believe, and if say you try to just yank off the fuel filter lets say, it will be stuck to it and stretch out like pulling on a piece of chewing gum. Now it can never be used, as is, any longer, new line will be needed. I recommend buying replacement line for that saw from E-replacement or the like as Tygon just does not quite fit in the tank holes to make a good seal. Just order it with whatever else you have to order,(parts are very affordable for that saw).
