What are they screening?

Vision, hearing, speach eval fine/gross motor skills, basic cognitive assessment and general health etc. ... They also ask the parents some questions and watch to see how you interact with your kids.

It's a state requirement here before starting school. I figured they did that everywhere?

Got through it in about hour with only a few tears , Andrew has been very anxious to separate from us since his brother died.
