It's just an old beater gun. I wouldn't paint a nice gun. The paint is still intact after all these years. It just sits in the corner of my old building.

My turkey gun was painted for years. I changed out a bunch of stuff and it started looking pretty janky so I finally had it dipped. The paint held up decently.

I have an old single shot shotgun that was very rusty when I got it about 30 years ago. I sanded the rust off, cleaned it with alcohol and painted it with hi temp grill paint.

Extra points if you have used it for a jack handle, or a breaker bar.

The one I'm wanting reblued is a 100 yr old l.c. Smith 12 gauge.i've got a couple of old single shots I might try the high temp paint on never thought about that.

I've got something ancient like that; an old JC Higgins 12 GA bolt-action. From Sears & Roebuck of course.

I own several European made pistols, but I must say the smoothest so far is CZ and Glock. I've got a 75B that you can drive nails with.
