You fellas talking about the drones: my brother has a hobby one, that is quite compact. But it has a 10 mile range, and the camera on it is quite impressive.

As badass as it would be to shoot one down, the likelihood that you would be recorded doing so, is very high. Their peripheral vision is wide. Although not impossible to shoot one down without being seen, it would be very difficult to know which direction it is facing, and whoever is flying it, is not only watching live, but also probably recording everything.

I could be wrong here but many states consider drone flights over your property as trespassing. If you shot one down over your property my guess is very little would be done to you over it.

Maybe that changes state to state, but I know that some drones require a license from the FAA. In that case, they are considered aircraft, and shooting one down is no different than shooting an actual airplane or helicopter at that point.

I would agree that this should be the implemented policy nationwide though - no one should be allowed to fly a spy device like a drone, over any private property without permission.

shoot them down if over your property the owner can come get his mistake
alot of people have them and for recreation they dont have to be licensed
if for showing work or any kind of work then they are faa registered
so where does the license go on the drone to know if registered or not

Yes this is true, but also still a huge FAA violation to fly one over someone’s property low enough that they would be able to shoot your drone down. It would be trouble for both parties at that point. Thus, not likely that the drone operator would want to press the issue if you shot their drone down.
