The idea and main project was the shelf for the saws. Oldest son showed up just as I finished the shelf. Brought in the tv and said Merry Christmas.

Well I unfortunately have no choice, as I log alone. So I always pack 2 saws with me on the skidder. One rides with me in the cab, and the other sits inside the arch, behind the winch. It can’t fall out or get run over. It’s *usually* a very safe place for a saw to ride. This just happened to be an unusual situation. At least it only wrecked the side cover - I can straighten the felling spikes.

Actually no, the saw rides in the arch of the skidder, right behind the winch. There’s usually adequate room, but today things just got funky.

Sounds like a project…build a protected saw cage on the skid

Good morning Dudes & not so dudes

I went for a drive yesterday and picked up that ms150t I won on eBay last wk.
A quick check throu the exhaust revealed the piston is good , it had a new s-plug with a big gap 1mm. So I gave it a tap to adjust it.

I fuelled it and ran it, the idle was a bit fast but it idled fine. the acceleration was a bit boggy and it died in the cut if I pushed it.

So I did a quick check of the carb screws and found the H was only just under 1/2 a turn

Once i adjusted it to the limiter 3/4 it ran fine in the 3 or 4 cuts that I did . It’s making me wonder if this place took it in as a part exchange and was just getting rid of it and selling as spares/repairs so there’s no comeback

Good Morning/ Evening All. First round of snow got cleaned up yesterday, even our country road had been plowed before I blew out the driveway. Will be another light dusting this morning but the winds are as near calm as they get here so will be the pretty postcard type snow. Starting at 16F, will hover around that all day before it starts dropping this evening. Should be -8f by tomorrow morning, our first real cold snap of the winter.
