You will. Between Dad's, one I had, and an ex's, I can replace them without tearing up my hands most of the time now.ive not had problems with them either
Nope, this was way beyond loose screwslol you just needed to take the wheel off and tighten 3 screws lol
I learned on on the 99 suburban to be gentle they are the lift up like tailgate onesYou will. Between Dad's, one I had, and an ex's, I can replace them without tearing up my hands most of the time now.
New tireWell, it appears a corn stalk punctured the sidewall
After not being able to air it up much, I found the puncture. I was at least able to use the jack from the pickup to get enough lift to remove the wheel and tire. I’ll see what the tire shop can do for me tomorrow morning… Pickup currently sitting out in a field overnight isn’t an ideal situation.

YepNew tire
Must be the metrics Michael.![]()
I have seen guys down on the border patch a really bad sidewall and run it forever, sometimes patched and booted and tubed, simply because they had no other optionThat sucks
Yep
My first new vehicle was a 1976 FJ40 and I sold it in 85 and instantly regretted it and bought a 79 but when we went back to Alaska for good in 1994 we could only ship 1 vehicle and sold itI made fun of those FJ'S growing up as a kid in the late 70's. Sure would love to have one now.
I think insurance companies/lawsuit risk prevent anyone from repairing sidewalls for hire.I have seen guys down on the border patch a really bad sidewall and run it forever, sometimes patched and booted and tubed, simply because they had no other option
Nobody ever told them it couldn't be done so they just did it
I haven't seen a tire shop in 30 years that would patch a sidewall under ANY circumstances
I am sure you are 110% correctI think insurance companies/lawsuit risk prevent anyone from repairing sidewalls for hire.
His was busted to hell and back.you just needed to take the wheel off and tighten 3 screws
I’ll send Thomas, if I can find him…
He is still in OK as far as I know. Don't think you want him teaching anything with his reputation of tearing up anything he touches.Thomas can’t come to America, his passport is expired
Died of embarrassment being seen on a dodge. What was in it
I hope not. I just bought these.. But it is what it is. I’ll have my answer tomorrow morning…New tire
