We have one in town. I’m not sure if it’s low sulfur etc though.

One of the fuel distributors delivered some REALLY bad fuel last fall to a number of the far western villages that can only be reached by barge in the summer or by airplane and it just wrecked schitt when they started using it in the middle of winter

The villages had to have good fuel delivered by plane in 55 gallon drums to get through the winter

Lawsuits pending...

We have separate stove oil pumps/tanks but I am not sure if I have ever seen an off road pump in Alaska

I am going to ask my dirt work friend the next time I see him

Almost all the stations around here, sell off road diesel. at the pump, right next to the on road fuel.

Pretty common to see a tractor at pumps in town, or hauling the mail out of town after fueling up.

Ketchup on fries, yes, for lunch or supper.

Mustard on an egg/breakfast sandwich is good, and I do that occasionally.

So no, Alaska has no provisions for a lower farm/off road fuel tax, and thats probably because Alaska already has the lowest fuel taxes in the nation, about half of even the next lowest state

They do reduce the taxes on stove oil, marine fuel, and aviation fuel though

I’m curious about this. I’ll check the pump in town here.

I have a one quart oil container, I fill it 3/4 of the way up with diesel, either off road or on road. Put a pinch of the yellow sulphur powder in. Close and shake for a minute. Let it sit on The shelf until the next time you fill your diesel jugs. It doesn't all dissolve, so don't shake it again when you add it to your diesel. I use the 5 gallon yellow plastic ones. Add an ounce to the 5 gallons. Agitate for a few seconds. Remember, we are aiming for around the 500 parts per million, it doesn't. Take much. I have had diesel in jugs for a few years, and I get a little condensation in the bottom of the jugs, but no growth. No biocide needed. As Ed says, it may not play nice with the dpf or the new stuff that regens, but works great on my old 70hp Deutz from 1985.
