This is all new to me and the various businesses all receive and sell 4 lb packs for 1 hive

I don't know if it is to compensate for expected die off due to the variable weather in May or what but this is what we were taught in our beginning beekeeper classes

For once I read the instructions and I am following them

Make sure you pull out the correct cork on the queen box when you put the queen in the hive!

I pulled the wrong one last weekend, because I was distracted (dog was rolling around at my feet, because he got stung), and the workers immediately balled her and tried to kill the queen. I managed to pick her up and get her back in the box, and all is well now a week later...

I just checked Mann Lake, they are selling 3lb packages. Either I don't remember right (highly possible) or 1lb packages are no longer a thing.

I used to work bees in just a tee shirt. After I messed with the wrong hive at what was evidently the wrong time, I bought a bee suit.

They make blades for plastic. Router works well too. What type of saw do you have

We got the most even tempered strain available up here

I’m thinking dope is legal up here so why not toss some in the hive smoker

We could leave a bag of Cheetohs by the hive and have the only bright orange honey in the market

I have a circular saw, orbital jigsaw, router..my dad has a tablesaw.

My wife put the idea in my head that clear panels on the end of our deck would be nice when we are sitting out there...

I’m not sure if this will be helpful but Lexan can also be cold bent in a brake.

It hazes after a while in the sun Ed. My boat windscreen is a prime example.

I split my hive this morning, because 3 wks ago I put on another brood box.

I fed them 2kg of thin syrup as the weather was wet and was worried about starvation ( we had a starvation email alert) also I wanted Them to draw out some of the new wax.

All went well (so far) as there are a lot of bees.
