Brine.....brine is the answer to loin.
This is true

I have been using Chef Ann Burrell's brine recipe on thick loin chops for years when the wife demand's them

Brine for 2 days and grill them hot and they are actually moist and flavorful

I still vastly prefer the flavor of a shoulder/butt roast over a loin roast

full chizel

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

@JoeDirt I love going to the auto parts store, knowing exactly what I needed, but they still think they have to run all the *s-word through the computer

He got pissed when I wouldn’t tell him anything, just told him to get me what I asked for.

I either tell them exactly what they are asking for OR I tell them a 2025 "whatever" and it's not in their system - shocker!

It is annoying they have to have that just so you can buy what you know you need.

Did you give him a part number?

I didn’t need a part number. It was Trico 10” rear wiper blade just like i took off.
Mehh.. I kinda get it. Trico has multiple parts, even for the same length rear blades because the connectors are different. Better to check it quickly on the computer than have to deal with returning it.

I am lucky to have a Napa close by that actually knows how to go get what I want. Their manager is an older woman who makes the typical parts monkey look useless. Went in there in fall to order an oil filter for a 1940 Farmall and she got all excited when I just told her the filter and gasket number I was after. She grew up on a similar tractor and knew exactly what it was for.

The other thing that happens at least once a day is a customer comes in with a part number, extremely confident that its the part they need, I sell it to them, then two hours later they are back returning it, angry that it was the wrong part when they didn't even give me a chance to check to see if it was the right one.

Which is why I always ask, "Do you want me to double check and make sure it's the right part?"

We have over half a million parts in inventory, I don't remember every single part number and its applications.

That's why I get both sides of it. I was on the customer side for a long time, but I can see what it's like from the counter side now and understand why things are the way they are.

There’s two ends of the culvert to look through, and they both show very different views…
