Not as bad as the splines stripping out on the hub end of an AMC20 tho...I thought you were a Jeep guy? Those low pinion 9s are tough on driveshafts in the short wheelbase 5s and 7s.

I’ve got a factory AMC20 behind the 401 in my CJ5… They actually have a bigger ring gear than a Ford 9”, and if I ever slip the hub splines, 1 piece axles are only $250/pr for that fix.
