Afternoon slackers and diks. Just finished the 500 hour service on my friends track loader. Learned some things and found out this avs machine is very service friendly. Had a fuel gauge issue and dealer sent a fuel sending unit as probable issue. 30 minutes is all it took to replace that and problem solved. Once the turkey breast come off the smoker I’ll run down and wash the loader and let it dry in the garage over night and bring it back in the morning. This way I get to use the loader any time I want and next weekend is one of those times I use it for the gtg. Don’t eat to much like Jason would. Have a safe and happy turkey day.

Hope you guys have a great time next weekend. I wish it was closer.

Am I the only one here not cooking the turkey in a smoker? Just a plain old oven here.

I brine mine, stuff lemons, apples, and thyme up it's ass and cook it in a roaster.

I left them out on purpose. Those are seldom used compared to the others. And it was originally stated that 5 wrenches could fix most anything on a particular vehicle. If there were 5 Standard sizes I had to choose to build something with, the ones I listed made the most sense to me.

12 mm and 18 mm are the two sizes most cheap metric wrench sets here DIDNT come with back before most of those *s-wordbuckets rusted away.
Did WAY more than my share of wrenching on my exes 84 S10 Blazer.
Mostly because she NEVER paid attention to any of the guages and idiot lights. Just drove until she got where she was going or it stopped moving.
She drove it until a rod finally got tired of the bs and liberated itself through the side of the block.
Found a donor and rebuilt that engine.
Then the 700R4 got tired of being neglected, so I pulled that and had rebuilt.
There was a crossmember that prevented one from being to remove the ONLY advantage Chebby had over a Ferd. That being easy access to the torque converter bolts. That particular one must have been installed on a Monday morning or Friday afternoon. I had to cut the mfer out with a reciprocating saw and modify as needed(I just threw that mfer away).
In hindsight, 86ing that crossmember helped in many ways. Couldnt replace the starter without that crossmember preventing it from being removed.
I just remember EVERYTHING that POS had to have replaced being a fight nearly to the death.

15/16" for some harmonic balancer bolts.
Some larger sizes for older suspension components.

There are literally a metric(or standard/imperial/wherethefuckeveristani) fuch-ton of different threads, fasteners, and such made over the years that folks need a different wrench/socket/bit/driver to be able to service.

Just buy or build more tools, get a bigger tool box, and quit yer *b-wordin FFS.

1/4 inch bolts usually are 7/16 unless you use a 11mm on those bolts
also the nut on a 7/16 bolt is 11/16 while the head of the bolt is 5/8

not on those year trucks the late 80s and 90s was the 10 13 15 and 18 mm
later in the ls duramax era is when they changed to the 11 12 14 16 and 17 mm nuts and bolts
