I'm shocked.
Cant believe they dont just try to demo derby each other right there in the yard automotive Highlander-style...wait, theyre inanimate objects that serve as basic transportation and a tool for getting work done.
I forgot.
I grew up with my grandfather having Chebbies. Narely remember his '53 3/4 ton flat bed that he farmed with. He sold that and bout the '74 1500 2wd basic long bed truck with a 3 speed manual and factory 350. Stout truck, just not great traction with the one wheel peel. Fairly tall gears for farm work and wood hauling.
Dad was too poor to afford a Chebby, so he bought an old Standard oil company '67 Dudge lwb with the 225 "leaning tower of power" and a 3 on the tree. Baby chit yellow as well. Maybe the ugliest truck I ever saw. I still loved it as a kid, cause I got to do cool stuff with Dad in it. Hunt, fish, etc. He sold that and bought an 84 Nissan king cab 2wd. Decent truck. Automatic with the little Z24 4 banger. Not a lot of power, but ran well.
Then he bought an '87 Dudge 2wd Laramie. Nice truck. 318 was a good motor. Brother ended up with that one.
Dad then bought the '86 Silverado 4wd.
Finally got enough money to buy a Chebby. Damn that thing is a wrecked and fixed worn out hunk of chit...
I have to work on it every time I go up there. Gutless 305 is worn out. Cam is wiped. I can't explain that to him...
Hes got a 2013 Chebby extendo-cab 4 x4 he can drive, so I'm not THAT worried about him walking.![]()
My griswold skillet, is better than your lodge skillet...
LOL
