That's getting to be the case up here as well and you also better be tech savvy because they will put temporary or emergency regs/closures/limits, etc in place on short notice and they only exist on the ADF&G website but you are still responsible for knowing about them

Kind of sucks if you have *s-wordty cell coverage or low batteries or simply don't look on a daily basis while you are in the field
That seems to me like it wouldn’t hold up in court if someone was afield and “violated” a recent rule change - I would think that the defendant would be off the hook within reason.

I have no idea, I know I have been fishing a few times and had someone ask me if I was aware of a change and I was, and I have mentioned things to others as well hoping to help them steer clear

The “game wardens” here are sworn officers of the state troopers and are generally decent folks unless someone goes out of their way to be an *a-hole and then they can get really hard really fast

I have seen slob hunters and fishermen bragging about limit violations and shenanigans and the word ripples up or down the river and magically a brown shirt trooper appears and wants an explanation of the triple limit of fish in the cooler

Law abiding sportsmen hate slobs because they *f-word it up for everyone

It is generally fish limits or times or locations that can change rapidly due to low or even high count numbers and in popular spots they will post updates and changes on campground bulletin boards etc, but regardless it’s on you to be aware

That makes sense, I better understand now.
