Cold temps and hard frost has signaled the close of chasing the fishes season and the opening of far'wood season.

It's been a great summer of fish chasing, have several pounds of filets in the freezer
("filet" is a French word, meaning slab the meat of the sides)

Have about 6 cord of fire'wood s/s in the shed, most of which was already cut, I just had to haul and s/s.

Thursday and chilly. Just the way I like it. Gets my apprentices moving faster cause they don't like the cold. I always tell them the heat is in the tools. Broke my nose yesterday with a wrench that slipped. Of all the stupid *s-wordt... the wife says it's an improvement. Be safe out there and enjoy this " fall " weather.
