What's up pumpkin humpers? Spent the day with the wife getting all the decorations up for Halloween. We never know how many kids will show but they have come on flatbed trailers in the past. She loves spoiling them little ones with extra candy. I love scaring the schitt out of the teenagers with a ported chainsaw minus chain. Have a good evening.

I did that ONCE! We were at a trunk or treat. The cops were not HAPPY!

Public Service Announcement: Don't leave your unoccupied truck running with your piece and 1k in it while you go shopping, someone will steal it. All was found 1/4 mile from where it was stolen save for the cash and the suspect is in custody, but things coulda gone a whole lot worse. Hopefully that dude learned a valuable lesson from today.

Also, fugg new "better, easier computer systems". I put in for two weeks off so I can put the disc brake front end under Yella Ferd and do some slashing. The new computer system that replaced saying "Hey, I want these days off" wouldn't let me take 1 week of unpaid time off under "Vacation" "Personal Day" "Sick leave vacation" or "Sick leave personal day". I don't even know what the last two mean, but I just decided to try all the options until I stopped getting an error. So, tomorrow my boss will be greeted by a request for a week off for "Jury duty".

Cold and dark to start the day, no additional snow has fallen. -8c/18F headed to 1c/34f by afternoon, If we get some sun along with that we might get some melting going but it will be slow when it gets this cold every night. This pattern is set to repeat through the weekend so maybe we have more green grass days ahead.

Good morning all. 15 hour day yesterday, got home to the smell of smoke. Wife lit the woodstove, and house was toasty. Plenty of wood, so why not. I thought it was a bit early, it's fine.

Howdy candy gobblers. Last night was a hoot! The Texas chainsaw massacre display was perfect! Lots of fake blood flyin, dammitt if I didn't have the sense to take a pic. Shut it down early as it was a school night and the cop in my neighborhood was starting to get cranky. Wussy. We got voted scariest house in da hood by the kids. Makes me miss my father in law.
