After some deliberation, I think some oil but not enough oil, or straight gas as you said,
The spark plug was a lovely choc brown colour.

Iirc that stihl pdf about wrong/mixes/straight gas says. The flywheel side gets cooled, so that will have less scoring on the intake side. but as the the exhaust is hotter it will be scored evenly

So, it’s back together at silly “o” clock last night as She wants it working. The piston is sanded to take the high spots off. The rings are cleaned but not in good shape but the cylinder is good and clean.

I will put 1/4 a tank of my fuel through it and hopefully if it lasts ? Then she can have it.
but I will say it really really needs a new piston and rings.

Seems like the chain side region, of the exhaust side of pistons, sometimes tend to look a wee bit more cooked whenever I see photos?
temps and air flows and chain gum buildup on that cylinder area?
...or maybe I just have a weird brain glitch for perceiving it??

Monday and good morning. Notice I didn't say good Monday. I am definitely a fan of the newer Stihl saws ( 660 and up) after spending my weekend tryin to get my old Mac to do me right. What a work out. Nerves are frazzled and hand are still tingling. Fughin old stuff. Udder than that it was a bit warm.

Because a forklift operator ran over her steel toed shoe and cleaved all those toes off

I've been thinking about what you posted yesterday. The thing about fentanyl testing strips and narcon.

Theres a lot more to this than is possible to go over in text....and I don't think what you posted is political in any way. But I've lived thru some of this stuff, and feel the need to share.

Here's what we are seeing in this area. Its happening nationwide. Counterfeit pills are being made using fentanyl. A person who has an addiction to opioids can end up dead because they got a pill that wasn't at all what they thought it was. That's why I see a need for the test strips.

I realize that most people don't have much compassion for a drug addict....but addiction to opioids can happen to good people who never used anything that wasn't prescribed to them by a doctor. If they lose their insurance, or miss an appointment, they can lose access to the substance that they are addicted to. Then out of desperation they seek out something to keep them from being deathly ill.
