Anyone of you marginal electricity folks have experience with Champion brand inverter generators?
Specifically interested in 2000w suitcase type as emergency backup to rotate around fridges and freezers for the 12 hours or so we seem to lose sometimes.

A lot of people have them (Champion brand) and every one i see is purring right along. Champion, Predator from HF, and Generac seem to be the most popular ones people buy.

Speaking of generators we still have 200k in the dark. 7 confirmed twisters touched down last night.

Specifics please. Honda's are double triple dollars. Need some justification to spend that on something i hope to never have to use.
Champion engines are made in China and that’s enough for me. Honda is buy once cry once. A lot quieter as well

One of the generators my Dad has is a Champion
Keep the ethanol out of it, fresh oil. It has zero issues in probably 8 years.
We make a point to try to run them around the first of the month for a bit just to be sure there are no issues when we really need them.

One of my brothers has had a Champion 4000 watt/5500 surge watt I believe it is, for several years and it’s never missed a beat. You know how to take care of small engine related equipment…oil change, e-free gas if possible (if not add Startron, Seafoam, etc to curb the ethanol). Get one…it’s a helluva lot more about how it’s taken care of than where it’s made (Chinawan).
