Detroits are easy to identify: 3-53 is 3 cylinder, 53 cubic inch per cylinder. So 4-53, 6-71, etc

Yes to above sir. Prolly a 4-53 to get needed horsepower.
Anywho @JugHead27 make sure the air box drains aren't clogged with mud. And always run that bish wide open at all times my man.

IIRC, the 225 and 230 came with the 353 and the 240 came with the 453. Most of the machines were about 100HP machines, except the 240.
