I think that’s what most of the old timers did - and I’ll never understand that thought process.. Maybe recycling iron and steel wasn’t an option back then, but holy buckets have I seen some messes the last generations left us..

Afaik it was and landfills have been around forever. Take the junk to the concentrated deposit but not sure why you’d want to bury garbage all over your own land. Keep doing that over decades and your children playing in the dirt will be playing tonka truck in a toxic dump with nails and fluids all in the soil

Those FS44’s are horrible. If I remember correctly, they’re made by Ryobi and rebranded.

we have a consumers shop about 10 mins away from here, they said midnight but id bet it happens faster than that. honestly they do a pretty good job around here usually.
