If you're held in high regard in some parts of NZ, you're most likely described as a Good C U Next Tuesday. Or GC for short. (Which may have gone over @GCJenks204 head when I mentioned it once).

A Total C U Next Tuesday is not a term of endearment however.

NZ swearing is complicated.

Fun little fact, I'm actually the 4th. IV if you know your Roman numerals.
Grandpa was Navy, on the USS Biloxi in the Pacific during WWII.
Dad was Army, Infantry, Americal division in Vietnam.
I learned to swear from true professionals and conisours of cussing.
I know some of them Roman numbers.
Kinda like hash marks in the lower values.

We arent that different.
My "paw paw" was navy. Diesel mechanic on an LST that was sunk at Gaudalcanal in the Pacific theater.
Dad was a wingnut(Air force).
3320th CEG.
Built landing strips, aircraft hangars, and other support structure in the mountains of Vietnam. He signed up, as he was an only child. Bosslady pointed that out. I never thought about it.

Very seldom heard either one curse, but they did know how. ;)
My brother and I probably made them revert now and then(on a daily basis).

Anyhow, I'm damn proud of them for making the sacrifices they did, as many others have.
Just regret that I didnt do the same.
Always give those men and women my utmost respect.

462/500i, 661/700i. Seems like maybe that sort of thing going on? I'm guessing the 400 probably would've been a 400i if it didn't add so much to the cost. Fuel injection would've moved it out of its pricing lane. There's less room to squeeze ~$200 in a lower cost saw.

My dealer has been pretty reliable with his intel in the past, we'll have to wait and see on the 700i...
462 is completely different then the 500i, the 400 is based off the 362 but cases are different because of the transfers so you can’t bolt a 400 jug to a 362.

I took an overnight trip to Dayton Ohio and checked out the museum of the Air Force. Definitely some cool stuff to see. Worth stopping if you are ever going past.

Cool! Love planes.
That A10 is one of my favorites.
Named the Warthog for good reason.
I know its a Fairchild Republic A10 Thunderbolt A1 or 2, but Warthog just fits better.
Mean little stumpy bastard with all the *f-wordyous right up front.

@farminkarman , Hey Greg, just shouting out to see how you and the new addition are doing. Haven't seen you on here in a few. Sleepless nights, diapers, and bottles??
Good evening Tim! I’m doing alright, but as you can imagine, my tail has been dragging a bit. I haven’t really been able to get to the shop much at all over the past 3-4 weeks. I imagine I have missed a few things on here.

I think George explained it well...

He got arrested in Milwaukee, at Summerfest in 1972 for doing the 7 dirty words skit. WI authorities, claimed it violated the state’s obscenity laws.

In December of 1972 the court case was eventually dismissed. The judge ruled that, while Carlin’s language was definitely indecent, Carlin had the freedom to say it, as long as he caused no disturbance. The ruling opened the floodgates for comedians of all ilk to expand their routines into once forbidden territory.

Times sure have changed, mom used to wash our mouths out with a bar of soap, for saying, heck, darn, or the likes.

second coating is always better than sanding day

Good finishers don't carry a sanding pole.

Owner of the company were I broke in would say that.

You can tell a great finisher from a not so good finisher, by who has a sanding pole with them.

Dead eye Dan, and Tiny Willy, never had a sanding stick with them ever, 30-40 years in the trade, they could spread mudd smooth as glass.

I hired a guy to finish a house I hung years ago. I asked about sanding. He said he didn't sand. Wouldn't need sanding.

I painted the house. Found two pinholes that I filled. No sanding needed.

Ive never understood how the words out of your mouth made you a bad or good person.
I guess it goes back to the American puritan background.
My grandmother on my dads side was an amazing woman.
Could work most grown men to the dirt nowadays.
She was so prudish that she wouldnt utter the word "sex" out loud though.
Had a family friend named Terry Sexton.
Always pronounced his last name as "Saxton". :risas3:
