Neighbor had a calf born and momma died during birth. We nursed it for 3 months and weaned her and taught her how to drink out of a bucket and eat hay. Went back into the herd and found a new momma. Hope you have good luck.

Helped do it many times unfortunately.
Dad had a cow that had 3 calves, and she never wanted to nurse any of them.
Named that bish Tonya(Harding).
I dont know why he gave her that many chances.
Personally, she would have gone to McDonald's after the first one.

Seems like here lately all my days off I take end up leading me into a marathon work session.
I guess I dont mind. I like helping family when they need it.
Would love a 4 day weekend to just take the boat out and say fuch everybody.

As far as the MLK holiday, folks blew that up and the gubbment made it something totally different than it should have been.

That man was just trying to get his people to make better of themselves.
He was going against what the government was doing at the time, and he lost his life over it. Damn shame, as he would have helped us all even out as a people and a nation.

I grew up in a rural area in the deep South.
I'm whiter than rice, due to my Irish roots, but I grew up around other good folks that couldnt be spotted in the dark unless they smiled or openned their eyes really wide. We all had 2 things in common.

1. We were all raised to be respectful of and help others, and
2. We were all the same level of poor.

Everyone helped each other out.
My "other paw paw", Mr John S Pittman said it right.
He declared that Rogers community was integrated a good long time before they made it official. Damn sure miss him.

I had a Jersey lose a calf, so I got a bottle calf and did that. Took about two weeks before the cow stopped shoving the calf away.
