Oh theres gonna be a part 2 to this.Cool glad ya made it back, without any drama. I was just wondering how the bucket truck adventure was going.
Its a damn solid truck....with chit for everything else. Body is beat to hell, but thats to be expected. It started life as a Pike county FL line truck apparently. At some point, it was bought by a contractor in GA and spent several years doing line work for them.
Then it was purchased by an arborist company in GA, and thats when most of the physical damage happened.
It eventually came back to FL, and spent about 3 years rotting in someones back yard. The massive damage to the front platform came during a hurricane, when a tree blew over on it, not from a rookie cutting a tree wrong.
Its still got a LONG way to go before I would climb in that bucket and go up.
Might end up scrapping the bucket and taking it back to a cab and chassis.
Let's just say that shes a squirter When she gets hot and ready to go.

Mostly rotted or animal-chewed hydraulic lines.
Not sold on the state of the fiberglass insulated sections of the boom either.
Just want to make sure the boy is safe.
