In the middle of all the running around today i stopped at the local store to grab a cigar. Ran into a girl from school and her mom there. The father passed away a few months ago. They were neighbors of my uncle. He was a huge race fan and a amateur sculptor. He made cars out of brass and would take them to the speedway and trade the famous guys for a old helmet or firesuit. I asked if they had any left and they said stop by the house. Bought this Doug Wolfgang Weikerts car off of them. It's signed by the driver and the mechanic. @timg and @Woodrow . Coolest thing there was a brass Indy car on a wooden base signed by Johnny Rutherford !!!View attachment 372385View attachment 372387
Very cool John. Thinking you need to put your carpenter skills to work and make a lighted case. The sprint car gods have blessed you today my friend!!

And a guy got mad this shed he gave 3k for it kept blowing over so he gave it to my friend

Bastard was attacked by a neighbor's mastiff mix he tore up his leg and stomach
A friend is a vet tech she's taking him to see if they can help him tomorrow.

That run in shed must be built fairly well if it flopped a couple times and still looks that good. Has steel come down in price much? It was way high.
Sorry to hear about ol Bastard hope he pulls through.

That shed is insulated panels the same company makes construction buildings and tiny houses etc. and we built my friends entire house out of them strong stuff.
I have a friend that's going to try to get me a deal if possible
metal is very high the last few years
I have free labor so that's a plus.
No idea about bastard he's the first cat I've ever taken to a vet
Other than spay or neutering.
He may have a abscess she told me.

Evening nappers and fappers.
Been down south for a couple of days helping the in-laws.
Got up at 0400 Saturday morning, drove over to the nephews place, went down to Weewahitchka FL and picked up that ratty-looking bucket truck.
About 4 1/2 hours from him.
Replaced fuel lines, filters, and installed a temporary 55 gallon drum for a fuel tank.
Changed oil and filter. Put a battery and terminals, starter solenoid, and tinkered with the lights a bit.
Primed the fuel system with the electric pump. It doesnt appear to have a provision for a mechanical one.
Thing popped off and ran without even making a full revolution.
Tuned on the carb a bit. Running rich, but not terribly.
Has an Allison transmission, so that shifted fine.
Alternator was hosed, so we switched out the headlights for LEDs in a Wal-Mart parking lot when we got back to GA.
Made it all the way home with no issues at about 0230 this morning.
I got back to Swainsboro and got to sleep about 0400 this morning.
Got up about 0800 and been cleaning out the late BILs truck and building all day.

Cool glad ya made it back, without any drama. I was just wondering how the bucket truck adventure was going.

I’d wear Jeanne’s Ukrainian ass out or bust the damn ticker tryin’…damn sure won’t deny me the E for effort.
My printer died and the IRS wants taxes turned in every year for some reason
My neighbor said they do tax prep free at a workforce place
So I made an appointment and the girl looked just like this oneolivia-casta-124.jpeg
I said I'll be back next year
