So no crackheads screaming at each other?

I might move up there !!!!

Correct.
No crackheads, meth heads. I'm sure they are around but so few that they are mostly unnoticed. There's some total meat heads and *pretty boyes, but you get that everywhere.

I'm curious to see where this lands..
Cadillac CT6-v with the 4.2 twin turbo. The owner of the dealership bought it for his Dad (who probably shouldn't be driving, but whatever).
Jay ends up with it for the inspection, and it turns out it's been fiddled with more than a truckstop hooked at multiple dealers and has a shopping list of camshaft codes..

Each of these engines is completely assembled by 1 person.

We are watching a system building in Montana that is expected to bring the city 4 to 6 inches on Saturday, hoping it stays South of home but likely it can't stay south enough that we don't get any. Sledders will be happy, the trail along the highway was starting to show some bare spots.

I like seeing pride in one's craftsmanship as long as it's paired with accountability. It's a lost art that's seldom seen these days.

Good morning fellow snow recipients, blurry dog pic dissectors and caddy fans. Supposed to see up to 5" by end of the day. Might have to knock the dust off the plow tractor and relocate some of it. Not starting a job till Monday so 3 days of not leaving the homestead will be nice. Have been wanting a potato and onion bin for the kitchen so i may get one of those fabbed up with 1x12 scraps i have in the shed

Here's a little interesting tidbit for you boys and girls...your Air Force is in collaboration with Rolls Royce (obviously a multi-billion dollar contract will ensue), for the eight replacement engines (four dual engine pods per a/c), on the entire fleet of B-52 Stratofortress long-range bombers. These Rolls Royce F130 dual pod engines have been in testing for some time now over at the NASA Stennis Space Center in Mississippi....part of extending the service life of the B-52's capabilities into the 2050's....mind you they entered operational service in 1955.

Who'd have thunk a damn centennial strategic bomber...testament to just how bad-ass these B-52's truly are. We see one or two on occasion here at Robins for refueling then they get gone fairly quick afterwards. On occasion if one has an IFE it'll stick around until the issue(s) get handled, but that's a rare occasion...they're a pretty damn solid, heavily updated aircraft.

Did have a few A-10 Warthogs and a couple of F-35's touch down earlier in the week, never heard as to why, and they were gone a few hours later.

There's yer aircraft update for the week.

Fixed wings are fine for Sunday flyers. Real pilots use a cyclic and collective. :-)

Currently there are 76 B-52's in the inventory, all operational minus 12 that sit in long-term storage out at Davis-Monthan AFB in AZ, aka The Boneyard...those 12 will eventually be retrofitted and updated as well at yer tax dollar expense. Thank you for your tax-paying service.

This will give ya some idea of just how big this Rolls Royce contract is gonna be...it's a heap more involved than just plug-and-play engine swap to get this done. But it'll create it's fair share of new jobs for wherever they choose to do these heavy modifications and their surrounding geographic areas for other contractors and subcontractors to enter the long-term picture.
