I signed up there same day as here. Never posted there..

It's mostly a crap hole of anger and arrogance. You're not missing much. Like many places there's a few good eggs and a lot of noisemakers.

I enjoy trying to help new saw owners, but having to battle the idiots while doing it is frustrating.

there was another thread i engaged in near the end. a guy putting a good used cyinder on a saw. he was told to hone it. i said thats dumb, dont do that. several others joined in saying nothing at all wrong with honing a plated cylinder. i was done after that. not saying that it cant be done, very carefully, but i dont see the need, and especially dont think its good advice to give somebody who is asking for help “yeah just go buy a hone and give er hell”. morons.

didnt even have any transfer!!! he was told to hone it to get rid of “glazing”. i said fine, use scotch brite if u wanna do that, zero risk of damaging the plating. nope, fuggin hone that biatch.

I don't try to tell @redline4 how to fix trannys, or tell @USMC615 which grills to hoard. I don't know *s-word about either so I keep my mouth shut like I should.

I've never seen air tools with a lifetime warranty.

Impact sockets is what I’m debating. Not a set though, I’m looking for a 1/2” drive 1 1/4” that won’t cost an arm and a leg, but also won’t leave me stranded. So far the logical suggestion is to buy 2 of a less expensive, lifetime warranty brand, and still save 1/2-3/4 of the money compared to buying a Snap-On or Matco, etc..
