I paid 1200.00 for my Ford F350, and traded a blown up Pathfinder for my Dakota. No fughin way in hell I'd pay 50K for any automobile on earth.
Well he obviously would laugh at my offer, so it's not like I'd have to pay it.

I'm just saying new truck prices have gone up 100% in under a decade. It's unbelievable.

If I was a millionaire.....I might pay 50K for a really nice old muscle car or something. But for a daily driver.....I'd keep keep driving beaters.

The F-150 Lariat went up $7580 from the '22 model to the '23 model. How is that possible? How are are people paying it?

You'd have a hard time finding a good muscle car for that price now. 25 years ago that was the price for a show winner. Now you might get a half decent runner for that. I'm done with cars. Too expensive. I'm just not gonna leave the house.

Edit: it can't go on forever, this pricing insanity will come to an end one way or another. And it'll probably be really ugly. https://www.autoblog.com/2023/03/05...ns-owe-thousands-more-than-vehicles-are-worth

As long as the dollar maintains world reserve currency status, it will continue. Our idjits are banking on it, and the fact that most first world currencies would flush down the drain if ours does. They may be right, but I hate them for it. I blame Woodrow Wilson. He allowed banks to take over currency creation, prior to the federal reserve act, inflation was at .1% a year. Or about 1/80th what it is now.

Sorry for the non political rant! People must learn!
