Ostrich and wild turkeys are the spawn of satan. Strange critters they are.

Been chased by turkeys before but never ostrich.

Hey Randy, how hard is it to keep pigs? Do they tear stuff up as bad as I hear? Pork might be something I would like stocked up in my freezer.
I raise a couple each year. Not much to it if you feed them right give them a good supply of clean water and keep them clean. Ten fifteen minutes of your time twice a day is about all they require. Ours always end up like pets in short order with my wife around...

The pet thing is what I am worried about the most. We have too many pets now. However, I might have someone else raise them and bring the processor for me. Of course I would compensate them for their effort. Will look into this. Thanks.

Rings in their noses first thing. Then they ain't a problem. We have a pen under roof, with a concrete floor. That helps.

It's just something you have to get used to. Give them the best life you can provide while you're raising them and rest easy knowing they lived better than anything you buy from the local market. And don't name them!!

the ones ive done was named burger and steak
if you let it bother you to grow a animal that was meant to be food then you are too much of a city slicker lol
its just a return on the investment in the animal and feed for the animal
