View attachment 352404 Good morning, or afternoon .New for posting anything on here. Been here lurking around reading up on saw builds. This is a great forum .This is what I’m working on for the today. Looks like I will be removing the carb off just to get bowl back on. Tried every pick and wire trick I could think of. For getting the spring under the float while carb is on the splitter. Please Excuse me if I post in wrong category or page. I have been lurking on & off for over a year now. It is still a bit confusing where to post what where. Guess the only way to get acquainted is to dive in an make a few mistakes. I’m sure someone will point me in the right direction.

You're absolutely in the right place. Welcome to the off topic anti-pro area of the site.

Why? Everything else is frozen too ain't it? It's not like you're suddenly gonna hold a lawn party on your tarped ground surely.
I have heard of tarping to kill seeds in the soil, used on some small gardens. Let's the sun beat down and cook the weed seeds, but I don't get the prevent freezing.

Edit: caught up and now understand. Turdsicle management!

@stihl livin Nic, you are the professional, could you explain our septic system to Adam?

Im no septic expert but the idea is to keep the drain field from freezing so as winter goes on your septic won’t back up in to the house. If the field freezes and can’t take water from the ya k you end up with poopy backing up into the house at some point.

Frozen leach field? That I understand. No-one wants turd ice cubes.

yes Adam it can freeze. Years with lack of snow for an insulator can be a major headache. Local shop here has a very large portable steam machine to thaw frozen septic systems. That has to smell worse than a porta John in the dead of summer.

upload_2022-10-24_7-52-43.jpegGood morning . After work today I am gonna go pull trail camera down. I moved it last week when I took this picture. Since tht day it hasn’t been triggered. Something has been chewing on the sensor lens. My guess is a tree rat. Time start making some Fried squirrel.

The septic field freezing or the pipe going to the septic tank freezing? We install septics in Massachusetts and never heard of such a thing... I can see the pipe going to freezing if there isn't enough pitch and every flush a layer freezes and builds builds builds. I was under the impression with the fields that we do, the bacteria keep it from freezing because it gives off a tiny bit of heat... Maybe I'm wrong? Maybe a different type of field?
