Looks like a pretty easy drinking porter. Do you all choose your own yeast or is it pitched before you leave and you create the fermentation confitions?

the plan was,, they pitched the yeast.. however as not all brewdays go to plan

so after the pump got blocked and a few other hiccups, like the wort was still to hot to pitch the yeast. So we were given 5g of this nepiaipa yeast to pitch when we got home.

I put two whole yardbirds on one of the Weber 26’s yesterday, let ‘em go low and slow for a few hours while I fooled around in the yard. Intentions were not to scarf ‘em down last night but make chicken salad today. And I do this quite often, or I’ll simply hit the Wally World or Kroger deli and get two of their $5.99 roto birds to do the same. A couple of hours invested deboning/cutting up the birds…and 4 hard-boiled eggs, dill relish, and Duke’s mayo later…gots me 3 1/2 qts of some damn good chicken salad going on.
