Me too. Lift arm shaft came loose. Dumped all the hydraulic fluid out of the 2640. Thank goodness it only holds 10 gallons.

I am liking sickle mowing. Might need to get a tow behind and pull with the Fergie. The disc mower I have is heavy, but it cuts 8'. I hate using it. I might trade it for a decent sickle.

I was damn glad to trade a sickle for a disc mower. It just cuts. Never clogs.....just cuts. I like that.

I have the good fortune to have more hay than I need right off my property. I can handle delays, and if a cut gets ruined, it just ends up feeding the field. I hate the weight of the disc mower, and the fact I have to use a 70 hp tractor to use it. It cuts wonderfully, don't get me wrong, but the sickle is lighter by a mile. I don't have to decide right away, may look for a good sickle, and use it before selling the disc. Just in case. Lol

Trying to decide whether or not to cut the back field, or save it for grazing. Poor soil in it from row cropping. Quite a lot of blue stem popped up. I'll probably just chop it down with the bush hog.
