I used to live west of hill city about 10 miles

We went down Old Hill City road today between Hill City and Keystone. That's one of the coolest roads I've ever been down. It looks like a 2 lane cow path, but worth the drive down.

@Dream and others, I’d have to think a 115 gets this 20ft to scoot.

I don't post in this thread often, but I need to clue you in on this.

Doesn't matter what brand outboard. If it is a four cycle and has carbs......... Unless you run the tar out of it often and pass lots of fuel through those carbs. You will have plenty of fuel issues. My advice is to run far away from anything with carbs. Stay with efi regardless of how good the deal is. You will thank me later.

Thanks Steve. Any and all I put is welcome.

Off the pontoon topic, any thoughts on the Seadoo boats? I’m somewhat infatuated with a Challenger 180.

Never messed with them. They require different diagnostic software than we use with the brp outboards.

Prob fun boats. Might be high maintenance. Some of the different jet platforms are higher maintenance than others. I believe seadoo is one of them.

Im not sure the service interval but I am sure a supercharger rebuild isn’t the same as others.

Was a carb 115 available in 2006 or is it most likely this one is EFI? Can you tell anything from the picture? Found a post on a boat forum referring to these as being built by Yamaha? Could be different version, no clue myself.

It should be EFI. But always verify before you take the drive to look at. And confirm for yourself once you have ot in front of you. Many times people don't know what the exact year of their engine is. They often are different model year than the boat. The early 2000's had plenty of changes. So just side on the cautious and ask lots of questions before you dive in. Make sure you are getting what you want and not someone elses problems.

Plenty of sites to help you look up sn# and get exact build year and so on.
