You didn't miss anything Gaz. I haven't mentioned it til now.
No more refinery. So no more refining for me. Owners decided a year ago that becoming a purely import terminal would provide a better income stream for the shareholders (same people) and they then voted to shut the plant down.
We got six months notice and union contracted severance and outstanding leave balance payed out so not a total disaster.
I got to effectively kill the plant when I was told to shut the last boiler down 29 May.
Control room probably still has the GFY I put up on the peg board a year before, once it became clear what our fate was.
