original loader arms?
So, the whole loader came on an old Oliver 1550 diesel that my dad bought when I was in college. He ended up selling the tractor and the loader has been sitting in out in a field for the past 15 years. The loader was made for Oliver by Schwartz. After 2nd crop hay, I will have the arms sandblasted and I will paint them to match the amounts. Eventually I will add a joystick valve supplied via power beyond so I can free up the remotes.

Im not as handy as I would like to think I am. Budget is what it take to get what I want but not unlimited. I too have graduated from home owner stuff. Maybe a larger format walk behind isn’t a bad idea. Toro has some really nice walk behind/ stand one that you can put a blade one but I don’t think I can justify the $15k price I have seen on those.

I’ve learned from reading here that Kawasaki is preferred over Kohler motors.
Definitely go with a Kawi motor on whatever and Hydrogear for final drive.
"Stander" may be where you want to be, as they are more nimble on smaller lots and have the options you want.

Howdy fellas….& good morning….

A long story shortened for you..;) I know you have heard something like this before..

a guy I work with, (wood carver) has A ms151 a yr or so old, it’s hard to start.. I looks at the spark plug (all looks good) I looks at the piston .

now I’ve got to be careful not to hurt his feelers… so after everything that I suggested I added “I’m not saying it is, it just maybe/could be !”
I goes over all the possibilities, including wrong fuel mix…. It’s not that he says.
:risas3:
well he ordered a new p&c, and I take it apart while it’s being posted.. it sure did look like it was straight gassed..

anyhow yesterday, I gets a call and his other saw he uses for carving (ms171) is playing up. He discussed the problem..
I said well I guess we found out why your other saw did what it did.. your fuel & lack of oil is the only thing it can be..o_O
And added I’ve read about it happening to a company’s that let the new guys get the fuel, then after 2 saws die the penny drops…
that’s one of the reasons why I use my own fuel… and I never just top up the can, it’s an empty can and x fuel & y oil

I guess he will want to be my best friend for a few weeks :abrazo:
