Good morning y’all :icon_cafe: I’ve been awake since 3:30. I finally got up @5am

and I didn’t need to pee,

I just had new vehicle :kitt-kit:things going on in my head. o_O
Are you getting a new vehicle? Feels bad man, they are so overwhelming with BS gadgets and useless features. Our newest vehicle is a 2014, I hate all the electronic driving aids it has. I had a rental Camry and the fuggers wanted to steer when I wanted to change lanes and brake if I got close to anyone. Fuggin distracting lights come on if someone passes you.

My next new car is going to be from the 60's. No crumple zones, no beeping and bonking BS.

I hope none of the above is racist! :risas3:

Good morning fuggers!

I refuse to buy anything after 2012-2014, except I’d run a Toyota Tundra up to the point they pulled the v8(2020?).
Naturally aspirated and simple is the goal from here on out, low miles obviously if possible.

Good luck with the simple bit, anything after 1994 ish is obd2. While they are more fuel efficient, they are ever more complex. Ask the guys that work on them for a living what they would buy. They know what to avoid. I have an 03 civic that the kid was worried wasn't reliable enough. So I bought her something newer. I kept the civic and run it occasionally. 40 mpg is nice. Good little car. I have an '88 k1500 that runs great. Simple. Also an '81 f150 Ranger.

I wonder if I will always be able to get fuel? Maybe I should convert to electric?:risas3:

Yep that’s what I meant before obd2, pretty sure it was in 96 it switched though. Some cars after I’d still run(and do )though, like you said civic, great cars.

I am hedging my bets by having a variety of vehicles. I used to instruct with BMW and Audi clubs and loved the older M3's, then that E46 came out and ruined bmw for me. Car won't let you drive it. Tries to correct you all the time. I did two laps in one and brought it in. Fuggin electronics. I don't like abs either. Worthless in ice and snow. Traction control suggs. Stability control same! Then there is all the sensors. 50 cent tire pressure gauge or $305 tpms sensor? Doesn't anyone feel what is going on with the car they drive? Do you really need a text from your car to know when to change your oil?
