Those were the last of the "good" work trucks. My favorite of the ferd too. 73-79 with the 79 square headlights being my favorite. My dad had a 73 F250, 360 4 speed
w /creaper. Camper special 2wd. That mfer got the shat worked out of it. I can still hear the whine of that trans with the truck and his big wood hauling trailer just loaded down. Good memories.
my buddy has a 78 modelThose were the last of the "good" work trucks.
Camper specials all had heavier transmissions and rearends, all on a 3/4 ton frame.
The big 3 all did it, and all 3 are more gooder trucks for those who want a classic with some balls.
Damn, just had a flashback.
lol you liked itDamn, just had a flashback.
Looks like my ex's vajay-jay that time we borrowed my buddy's fast-arse bass boat and she wore shorts.![]()

No fretting, Adam. I just really like those Patrols as a super nice touring rig. The Pareto does just fine and I put it in some pretty peculiar situations...it amazes me just how much that car can do without being put in 4WD and with the center locker it’s just nasty.I wouldn't fret too much. A Pajero/Shogun with the correct mods is a way more comfortable wagon and very nearly as capable off road.
lol yesWhere have I been? Lol
I'm ok. You?
his is a 3/4 ton ChevyThis one was a 73.
Ranger trim level. Just above a custom cab. Came with a 240 cubic inch inline 6, C4 automatic transmission, power brakes, and not much else.
Wish I still had it.
