Burning some hard earned money tonight at the WV gambling house. Going in for slack time behind the pull handles and drink all the free coffee I can stand. Celebrating 31 years of bumpy road bliss. For those that need it a GFY is on the house as per timg!!View attachment 312728
I'm banned from there
but you should check out the dog track in cross lanes
That's where the local gamblers go.
My drunk friend was there asked this tall pretty blonde
How much for a date
She beat him near unconscious.

I thought it was hilarious, but embarrassing as well to give a saw to a friend (BBR) looking like that. Anyway It looks like he was trying to hide his signature 90 degree pipe inside a stock looking muffler.

It gets my gears turning how, if done right, one could hide a straight pipe inside a stock muffler to flow right out the stockish exit hole in the muffler for a sleeper race saw.

One outlet is as good or possibly better than another. Especially one that has a 90° turn in it. Hiding a pipe inside of a muffler that is routed to the factory deflector makes absolutely no sense to me whatsoever. But what the hell do I know?

Come to think of it, I spend hours cutting exactly that arrangement out of the 395 and 3120 muffler.

I don't know because I haven't messed around with it much. I don't like his 90 degree pipe, but I was thinking a curved pipe going straight from the exhaust port to a hogged out stock muffler outlet (no opening to the inside of the can) might perform better in racing than an empty can with hogged out stock outlet, for sleepers only. It might not work either, it was just my initial thought.

It will definitely change the sound of it, but as far as making more real world power a larger can would be in order.

A guy I know is a 25+ year welder/fabricator for a transmission line outfit
and makes
Glass and metal jewelry as a hobby.
He's had a lot of surgeries lately
Because of cancer
He's trying to get well enough to get back to work.
To give him some work
I have 9 mufflers I'm going to take him
And have him braze or weld
Some bigger outlets on them.
I just don't know if they'll be as nice as
Iron horse's but I can only hope.
